Seen a 90% decrease in website traffic?
I have about 25 websites (not gonna name them her) and on all of them I have seen approx 90% drop in traffic over the past few days. Used Senuke on one site for the first time but made sure links on Web 2.0 sites where to other 2.0 sites and not all to my main domain.
Anyone have this happen to them and how long they were affected for? None of the sites have been deindexed and keyword rankings haven’t changed (except for the site I did the Senuke capaign for).
Chosen Answer:
Haven’t used SENuke but have used similar programs and the traffic is dependent on what you are linking to and with what.
If you are targeting Web2.0 (social sites) they generally will fall off and then pick up after a few days. Sometimes the traffic just fades away as your links, rss or whatever else is pushed down the chain.
How old are the sites? What are their subjects?
Google likes new content, fresh content and aged content best. So if your newer content has aged a bit it may have fallen out of the rankings until it has aged enough to fall into the third category.
Also, it’s the weekend, a time when traffic often falls.
Do you write on summer topics? Coming up to the US winter, summer topics are going down.
I noticed too that Google has just refreshed big time the database, there have been a lot of changes in first pages these last days….
yeah goggle likes for sites to be refreshed as often as possible. It also has a lot to do with how words are worded on your website such as title header and text.
do you have Analyses for your website wording??? It crazy if you do then it’ll show you what words stands out in bold, the largest, italic, and etc…. did you know goggle likes long phrases instead of short ones????
maybe you should check out this site
